Our Hot N Handy Bio Pouch received the 2009 Gold Award in Environmental and Sustainability Achievement from the Flexible Packaging Association. The award recognizes the Hot N Handy Bio Pouch as the best sustainable solution for fresh-prepared sandwiches in the market.

The first-ever Greener Package Awards prove that sustainable packaging has hit the mainstream, with innovations that promise to change the face of packaging forever!

The Hot N Handy Bio-Pouch, made from renewable wood pulp-based film won the Greener Packaging Category for the green gains over rigid containers.  Among them, the Bio-Pouch uses less crude oil, reduces CO2 emissions and reduces packaging material waste.

Pack Expo Selects - The Winners Are In

Results are in for the 2009 Pack Expo Selects Competition, and the prize goes to Robbie and Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets.

Packages were submitted by Pack Expo exhibitors meeting packaging stipulations outlined by the Pack Expo.  Voting took place on the show floor naming Robbie and Purex as the winner.

Robbie worked with the Dial Corporation (Henkel) to create a colorful, high-clarity package that could be easily recognized on the shelf and would hold exact placement of the Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets color pallet and graphics.

The irregular shape of the product and the ability to eliminate print distortion and maintain exact placement for multiple images using a Polyolefin shrink film in itself was an indicator that printed shrink films have definitely replaced sleeves and/or labels - sending a strong sustainable message.

The “Best in Show” award is the highest honor awarded, bestowed to Robbie for our print quality and innovative use of color. We received the Gold Award for using modified process inks to give AriZona packaging brilliant colors and superior 3D quality.
